Mutilated Body Of Lydia Tokesi Who Took Loan To Buy Boyfriend A Car Found Murdered in Gataka Forest
Lydia Tokesi had recently taken a bank loan to purchase a motor vehicle for her boyfriend, Joseph Orwa, who is now the prime suspect in her murder.
Nairobi, Kenya – In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the body of 29-year-old Lydia Tokesi was discovered in Gataka Forest, Kajiado County, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, after she had been reported missing for over a week. Tokesi, a former student at Moi University, had last been seen alive on January 4, 2025.
According to reports from local news sources, Tokesi’s body was found in a deplorable state, with some parts missing, suggesting a brutal murder. The discovery has sent shockwaves through the community and her family, who had been anxiously awaiting news of her whereabouts.
Lydia Tokesi had recently taken a bank loan to purchase a motor vehicle for her boyfriend, Joseph Orwa, who is now the prime suspect in her murder. Orwa, who operated the car as a taxi in Nairobi, has also gone missing, adding layers of complexity to the investigation. The vehicle was found in Rongai, with all of Tokesi’s belongings, including her laptop, intact, indicating that the motive might not have been robbery.
Her brother, Daniel Shikoli, spoke to the press, detailing the gruesome discovery, “The state of the body was so bad. You couldn’t really identify it. It was missing some parts. It was found in a thicket. We’re waiting for the DNA tests to know if that body is Lydia’s.”
The police have launched a full-scale investigation into her death, with a particular focus on her relationship with Orwa.
Tokesi was employed as a customer service experience officer at Kasha Technologies.
As the investigation continues, authorities are appealing for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect. The community has rallied, sharing memories of Tokesi and calling for swift justice in what appears to be a case of betrayal and violence.
