God Gave Us Tongues And Fingers Governor Sonko Defends Linturi Over His Estranged Wife’s Claims That He Couldn’t Perform In Bed
The Star Newspaper had published a story detailing divorce proceedings of the Meru Senator Mithika Linturi going as far as revealing sensational details.
In an affidavit filed in court according to the Newspaper, the estranged wife Mary Kitany said that, the senator couldn’t rise to the occasion in bed and that was one of the reasons they had issues in their marriage.
“Linturi was unable to rise to the occasion in the bedroom on several occasions, claiming exhaustion, sickness, but for most of the part he simply could not,” she claimed.
The publication drew different reactions and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who’s not new to such controversies, was particularly irked and jumped into the senator’s rescue over the embarrassing story.
“This is nonsense of the highest order and totally unacceptable. The star is becoming a gutter press day by day. We shall not allow them to publish bedroom stories of other men with their wives.” The Governor opined.
He went ahead and advisedathe senator to sue the newspaper and make money out of it, “Which journalist was present in their bedroom during that material night. Shenzi nyinyi. Linturi take them to court this is good money.”
Sonko also offered to stand with Linturi in courtc “Snce your matrimonial residence is in Nairobi I shall be an amicus curiae in this case on probono.”
He finished by giving remedies, well, literally, “Musidha wanaume to that extent na hata tukizeeka. God gave us tongues and fingers.”
