Migori Governor Okoth Obado who’s facing graft charges, has finally been freed after spending days with his accomplices including his four children. Obado has been released on a Sh8.7 million cash bail or an alternative Sh20 million bond.
The governor’s four children who’re equally accused of stealing from the county were also released on a Sh2.5M cash bail each with the rest of other accomplices slapped with the same range of cash bail.
While issuing the ruling Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi of the Milimani Anti-corruption Court barred Obado from accessing to the County offices and only allowed the Investigating Officer to escort him to pick personal items from the office.
He’s also prohibited from traveling outside the country.
Obado’s murder case is also expected to take off in November.
