Businessman Charged For Dealing in Fake Govt Documents
A businessman has been charged with forging court stamps, titles deeds, certificate of grant among others.
Anthony Mwangi Ndegwa is accused of forging judicial stamps on 24th October 2025 at Homeland, along the Thika Super Highway, Nairobi.
Ndegwa is said to have been in possession of instruments purported to be the Thika Chief Magistrate Commercial Court Seal and the Makadara Chief Magistrate Commercial Seal without lawful excuse.
In addition, Ndegwa is accused of making false title deeds marked TD-1 to TD-30 purportedly printed by the Government Printers, a fact he knew to be false.
The accused person is also charged with making a false documents namely Certificates of Grant marked G-1 to G-7 purportedly printed by the Government Printers, a fact he knew to be false.
Other documents include Certificate of Titles marked COT-1 to COT-3 and Consent Letters Serial numbers 0281215, 1295041, 679949, 679948, 692648, 08221465, 0821485, 0182530 & 559803.
Ndwgea is alleged to have made the said documents with intent to defraud.
He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Theresa Nyangena and was granted a bond of Sh 2 million with alternative cash bail of Sh 1 million.
The case will be mentioned on 6th July 2026 for pre-trial.
