Oparanya Comes Out Clean On Leaked Photos

Former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has come out clean to address the viral photos of him and his lover Mary Biketi.

Speaking from his hotel in a recorded video seen by Kenya Insights, Oparanya has confirmed that indeed the photos are real but he doesn’t understand the reason behind the leak.

“It’s true that the photos are real and not photoshopped. I don’t understand the intentions why they were leaked to the media. I have a big family that I have to protect and this is a matter that should be in private.” The governor said in a statement that could be read to affirm his relationship with younger Biketi as his wife.

Oparanya’s statement coincides with the lady’s post on her Facebook on Sunday after the initial leak. Many are now reading the coincidence as a way of the two to coming out in public to confirm their relationship.

Oparanya in his statement has alluded to a blackmail scheme by unnamed persons who leaked the photos to the media.

Biketi posted on her Facebook page the video of Oparanya addressing the leaked photos. The two would appear to be together in a hotel in Nyali.
