KCPE Results May Be Out By Next Week
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results may be released as early as next week, this is in line with the culture CS Matiang’i introduced of announcing the results before Christmas.
Marking of the KCPE examination papers which commenced at the beginning of the month is expected to end this Friday. Examiners are working on the last Kiswahili Insha and English Composition scripts.
Marking of the multiple choice papers, which was done through the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), started immediately the first paper was written with reports stating the processing of the results is complete.
Results for the more than one million KCPE candidates will be released anytime from Wednesday next week, In line with the promise from the Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha had made. Magoha had said the council will release the results immediately after processing.
“Why would keep them when they are ready?” said Prof Magoha.
“Candidates should know the school they are going to by Christmas. This will enable their parents to prepare them,” Magoha had told journalists at the end of last month.
