Pastor Ng’ang’a City Church Is Getting Reclaimed By The State
Controversial preacher and televangelist James Ng’ang’a of the Neno Evangelism Centre is back on the spotlight this time over the piece of land his main church sits on in Nairobi. Kenya Railways Corporation have issued a notification of plans to reclaim the land.
This is the second time the pastor has been accused of building a church on land that belongs to other persons. Read: Pastor Ng’ang’a’s Church Is Built On Stolen Land
The Kenya Railways sent Mr Ng’ang’a the notice on Friday saying that the land occupied for years by the church along Haile Selassie Avenue, Uhuru highway and Bunyala road is the corporation’s property.
The notice reads that the parcel occupied by Neno church “encroaches on land initially reserved for railway use” and was allegedly allocated irregularly.
Kenya Railways says that the move is part of efforts to reclaim “all its land” that has been allocated to private entities throughout the country over the years. The process is being done in collaboration with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Assets Recovery Agency.
