Panic Grips Stima Plaza As KPLC Staff Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Staff at the Kenya Power headquarters are living in panic following the Covid-19 test of a staff member that turned out positive.
According to reports, the lady a cashier, had checked into an hospital after feeling unwell. Her family was also consequently tested and turned out positive.
The management has been at crossroads on how to handle the situation. A source talking to Kenya Insights intimate that Mutahi had recommended the quarantining of all the staff but this is yet to be implemented.
The lady we’re told could’ve contracted the virus from Mombasa colleagues whom she had been in contact. KPLC are listed as essential service providers so the staff are allowed to move freely.
Companies offering essential services are having hard times on how to contain the virus spread. Safaricom was recently forced to shut their TRM branch after a staff tested positive and rest of staff sent to quarantine. DTB, KCB are also some of the institutions that have been forced to shut their branches after staff tested positive.
