Firm’s Director Charged With Threatening To Kill
A director of Heritage Flowers Ltd has been charged with threatening to kill a businessman.
Shailesh Kumar Rai appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe and denied threatening to kill the businessman Punjani Riyaz Mahammadali.
Kumar is alleged to have committed the offence on 27th May 2022 at Parklands Westlands Sub- County.
The charge sheet stated that without lawful excuse, he uttered unprintable words with Hindu language meaning “****” I will come and shoot you in the *** right now” words which directly caused Punjani to receive threats.
He was released on a bond of Sh200,000 or alternative cash bail of Sh100,000.
The trader is separately charged with conspiracy to defraud a supplier of over Sh116 Million.
Kumar is accused of conspiring to defraud M/S Heritage Flowers Ltd of approximately Sh116,737,055, an offence he allegedly committed between September 2021 and August 2022 in Nairobi County.
He is further accused of stealing Sh106 million from the company between September 2021 and August 2022, by virtue of the said employment.
