Ruto Reappoints Charles Nyachae to Govt In New Parastatal Boards Appointments
Ruto reappointed Charles Nyachae to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya School of Government Council, for a period of three years.
President William Ruto has made appointments to parastatal boards, including the Pest Control Products Board and the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute.
In gazette notices dated July 11, 2025, Ruto appointed Ali Noor Ismail as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Pest Control Products Board.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (2)(a) of the Pest Control Products Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Ali Noor Ismail to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Pest Control Products Board for a period of three years,” the notice read.
Noor’s term took effect on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The President also appointed Abdi Mude Ibrahim to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute. He will also serve for a period of three years, with effect from July 11, 2025.
In another notice, Ruto reappointed Charles Nyachae to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya School of Government Council, for a period of three years.
Ruto had appointed Nyachae as the Chairperson of the Council in January 2024.
All appointments will be effective for three years.
Other appointments made include that of Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku to the Kenya School of Government Council.
Ruku appointed Leonida Chelagat Mitei and Dr. Francis Owino to be members of the Council for a period of three years. He also reappointed Linnet Mirehane to the position, effective July 13, 2025.
Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir made a reappointment to the Kenya Airports Authority Board.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1)(f) of the Kenya Airports Authority Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport reappoints Iltasayon Neepe to be a Member of the Board of the Kenya Airports Authority, for a period of three years, with effect from July 11, 2025,” the gazette notice read.
Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua reappointed Rose Omamo to the National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees for a period of three years.
Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Muuga reappointed Regina Ndambuki to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency.
Muuga also reappointed Geoffrey Rukuja to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Tana Water Works Development Agency.
He further reappointed Nasri Sahal Ibrahim to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Northern Water Works Development Agency.
Gender Cabinet Secretary Hannah Cheptumo reappointed Edwin Abonyo to be the Chairperson of the National Museums of Kenya Board.
Trade Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui appointed Hamzo Alio Abdi to be a Member of the Export Processing Zones Authority Board.
