Richard Ngatia is a desperate man. Whenever his name is mentioned, the cries of Covid-19 victims who perished while he enjoyed KEMSA funds reach the heavens and people see a KEMSA suspect and not a governorship aspirant. Whenever his name is mentioned, people ask when the DPP and DCI will close in on his case. Whenever his name is mentioned, people see a man who should be in Kamiti and not anywhere near City Hall.
In a desperate attempt to salvage his sinking candidature, the man who casts a diminutive figure and whose name is synonymous with corruption, Richard Ngatia, has now concocted a plan to install a puppet CEO at the IEBC as part of a grand scheme to manipulate the election in his favour even if he contests as an independent candidate.
The Grand Scheme to Control the IEBC ahead of 2022 August.
On February 28, 2022, the IEBC selection panel announced the shortlisting of individuals selected to be interviewed for the position of the commission’s CEO that has been vacant since the exit of Ezra Chiloba. Those shortlisted include acting CEO Marjan Hussein Marjan, Nancy Kariuki Wanjiku, Dr. Joel Mabonga, Zephaniah Aura Okeyo and Dr. George Kamau Michugu, and will be interviewed on March 8, 2022. Despite the mock interviews and even shortlisting, it is emerging that KEMSA billions have found their way to this hiring process, with Mr Ngatia’s campaign manager, a one Dan Mwangi, being propped to be sneaked in as CEO.
A shrewd businessman Charles Waithaka (0722 694 742) has been confirmed to be the middleman tasked with using the money stolen from KEMSA to allegedly sway the minds of the Selection Panel in order to have Dan Mwangi installed as CEO of the electoral agency, IEBC.
It is shocking that Dan Mwangi did not make it to be shortlisted as a CEO candidate and neither did he make it to be shortlisted as a Deputy CEO candidate but Ngatia and his crooked colleagues have splashed millions from KEMSA proceeds to ensure he is sneaked in through the backdoor into the commission. The Deputy CEO shortlist had ten people; from a list of 860 applicants. They include Nuno Roble Said, Obadiah Keitany Kipkoech, Ibrahim Osman Hassan, Naisiae Tobiko Paloshe, Nelly Ilongo, Joyce Ekuam Narumbe Idumu, Fredrick Riaga Ogalo, Simon Cheruiyot Kiplangat, Ruth Kulundu Songa Khatievi and John Muhia Mwangi. The interviews for Deputy CEO will be held on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th March, 2022.
Who is Dan Mwangi, Ngatia’s preferred Puppet IEBC CEO?
Dan Mwangi (0714 602 583) happens to be a former student leader at the University of Nairobi and is currently an OP operative who has perfected the art of using the President’s name and that of Interior PS, Karanja Kibicho in his shady deals.
With his new position as Richard Ngatia’s Campaign Manager, Dan Mwangi has put up an elaborate smear campaign as well as rigging structure that even shocked the evil Ngatia. It is this ability to cross moral boundaries that has impressed Ngatia and convinced him that having a puppet CEO at the IEBC would be the only way to win as an independent candidate, since it is beyond doubt that Azimio’s gubernatorial ticket will go to Ann Kananu, for the sake of easy continuity.
Whether or not the plan to instal a puppet IEBC CEO who wasn’t shortlisted for interviews will succeed or fail, the extent to which corrupt people like Richard Ngatia can go is shocking and it begs the question, does Kenya have laws? Why is Ngatia still a free man, let alone running for governor?
