Lee Njiru Gives Update On Moi’s State
Former president Daniel Moi is still undergoing treatment according to the family spokesperson Lee Njiru. The retired president is in Nairobi hospital four days after admission.
Speaking on Thursday, Lee termed the ongoing speculations about the health of the 2nd president of Kenya as ‘Hogwash’ urging the general public to ignore the rumours.
Moi who is 95, has been in and out of hospital for the last two years. While attending the burial of his eldest son Jonathan Moi in May this year, he did not leave his car.
Lee had earlier disputed claims that the retired president was in critical condition saying the man “is alert and conscious of his surroundings.”
“The true position is that Mzee Moi is in hospital being attended to by a professional medical team led by his personal physician, Dr. David Silverstein. He is alert and conscious of his surroundings.” He had said.
The family has not disclosed the nature of Moi’s ailment but sources indicated that he is being treated for breathing complications.
