The Day My Father-In-Law Blessed My Marriage After Years of Resistance
When I first fell in love with my wife, I knew she was the one for me. She was kind, supportive, and everything I had ever dreamed of in a partner. The only problem was her father. From the first day he met me, he made it clear that he did not want me anywhere near his daughter.
He said I was not from the right background, that I didn’t come from a wealthy family, and that his daughter deserved a man of higher status. Every time I visited their home, he would find a reason to insult me or chase me away. At one point, he even threatened to disown his daughter if she insisted on marrying me.
The situation became unbearable. My fiancée cried almost every night because of the constant pressure from her father. We loved each other deeply, but his opposition was tearing us apart. We tried everything — counseling, involving relatives, even church leaders — but nothing worked.
