Ruto Ally Begi Gesicho Charged With Sh10M Fraud
Isaiya Begi Gesicho who brags about enjoying close links with the house on the hill has found himself in trouble with the law. He was charged for defrauding Jane Prema Peter of Sh1 million by falsely pretending that he was in position to secure lucrative tenders on her behalf at government and private sector which turned out to be a lie as he lacked such high level connections to deliver the promise. Jane aid associated with companies including I-Parts Contractors and Lami Inya Contractors Limited. In Kenya, getting tenders through manipulation and influence is also considered a crime.
He was accused of committing the crime between 9th June 2020 and 31st December 2020 in Nairobi. During the time, he was in a relationship with the accuser, according to a revelation by activist Boniface Mwangi who claims further that Gesicho dumped Jane while she was pregnant and refused to refund the money on the basis that they were a couple.
Gesicho who identifies himself as a political analyst and a ‘broker’ gives an impression of a well connected man from his social media accounts which is a good way to sell himself to those who wish to deal with him. His connection to President Ruto and others however doesn’t sit well with Boniface who outed him in the first place, “Criminals in Kenya have succeeded in embedding themselves with politicians or are politicians themselves. The day Ruto was sworn in,wash-wash gangs were posting Instastories from the statehouse. If you’re doing a deal with someone who hangs out with Ruto & Rigathi be very careful.”
