Mchele Babe: How Notorious ‘Yellow Yellow’ Thika Lady Is Baiting Men On Dating Apps Before Drugging And Robbing Them
A series of alarming incidents have emerged from Thika Road, where a woman allegedly uses dating apps to meet her victims, only to drug and rob them, leaving some in dire situations. Two recent accounts have shed light on this dangerous trend, prompting an urgent call for action from the police.
The first account surfaced when a man, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported being drugged and robbed by a woman he met through an unspecified dating app. On February 7, 2024, after meeting her, he awoke to find his phone, ATM card, and ID missing. The woman had reportedly used his financial details to transfer money to online wallets like Skrill and Netteller. Despite immediate reporting to the authorities and continuous follow-ups with the Investigative Officer (IO) at the DCI Thika Branch, no arrests have been made despite having her photo and contact information. The victim expressed frustration over the apparent lack of progress.
Adding to the concern, another distressing case came to light where a man was found dead in an apartment in Kahawa on Thika Road, apparently after being drugged by the same woman. Similarly, they had met via a dating app.
The phrase “Huyu Dame amewekea mtu Mchele” (This woman drugged someone) has circulated among local residents and on social media, suggesting a pattern of criminal behavior targeting unsuspecting individuals through these digital platforms.
These incidents have raised significant safety concerns regarding the use of dating apps in the area. The anonymity and ease of access provided by such platforms have seemingly been exploited for criminal activities, exposing users to risks of theft, drugging, and even more severe outcomes like death.
According to unconfirmed reports, the woman works at an hospital in Thika Town where it’s believed to have an easy access to the sedating drugs that she uses in her missions.
Her whereabouts remain unknown, however from comments on social media platforms, the lady who’s known by different pseudonym names is a well known figure in Thika. She remains at large.
As this story develops, the focus remains on ensuring justice for the victims and safeguarding others from similar fates.
