I Took Her to Dubai, She Came Back Pregnant by Another Man

My name is Patrick, and I was a man in love. Deeply, blindly in love.
I met Vanessa at a corporate event in Nairobi. She was stunning, ambitious, the kind of woman that turns heads when she walks into a room. We dated for three years, and when my logistics company finally took off, I knew I wanted to spoil her.
So I planned a surprise trip to Dubai.
Not just any trip, luxury hotel, skydiving, shopping at the Dubai Mall, photos at the Burj Khalifa. She cried tears of joy when I handed her the ticket. Said she’d never been on a plane. I felt proud, like a man finally winning in life.
She posted our photos. Called me “Mr. Right.” Everyone in the comments said we were “goals.”
But what I didn’t know was that she had a secret life. One I was funding with my own wallet.
After we returned, something shifted. She became distant. Started locking her phone. Claimed she was “finding herself.” Said she wanted space to “think.” I didn’t understand it, but I respected it.
