KUCCPS Reopens Applications For September 2025 TVET Intake

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the reopening of its application portal for students seeking admission into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for the September 2025 intake.

The opportunity is open to KCSE certificate holders who sat their exams between 2000 and 2024. Depending on one’s performance, the minimum entry requirements vary by course level.

Those applying for Artisan Certificate courses (Level 4) must have scored at least an E grade in KCSE. Craft Certificate courses (Level 5) require a minimum grade of D, while Diploma courses (Level 6) require at least a C- (minus).

To encourage more applicants and remove financial barriers, KUCCPS has waived all application fees for this intake.

Applications are submitted online through the KUCCPS Students’ Portal at students.kuccps.net, with guidelines available on the official KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke.

Students who need help with the application process are encouraged to visit the nearest public TVET institution or Huduma Centre.

This move is part of the government’s ongoing effort to achieve 100% transition from basic education to tertiary training.

It also aims to equip young people with practical skills that enable them to become self-reliant and contribute to the economy.

KUCCPS is a State Corporation established under the Universities Act, No. 42 of 2012, to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to universities and colleges.
