Two Charged With Stealing Sh55M From Afya Sacco
Two city businessmen were on Wednesday charged before a Milimani Law Court with conspiring to steal from Afya Sacco Society Limited a sum of Sh 55 million.
The two Felix Mutisya Ndoi and Silas Sila Mutaki were charged with several counts of fraud including conspiracy to steal and stealing.
It is alleged that on diverse dates between December 8, 2016 and November 1,2021 they conspired to steal from Afya Sacco Society Limited Sh 55,649,000.
They were also charged with a second count of stealing Sh 55 million from Afya Sacco Society Limited.
In another count, the two were charged with fraudulently procuring execution of an agency agreement document witnessed by a commissioner of oaths.
They pleaded not guilty to the three counts before Magistrate Susan Shitubi and were each released on Sh 3 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh 1 million.
