Uhuru Congratulates US President-Elect Joe Biden
Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta is amongst the latest world leaders who’ve recognized the victory of democrat Joe Biden who so far enjoys over 6m votes lead against Trump and with 306 electoral votes that elevated him as the president-elect.
While President Trump countinues to cling on his fantasies, Biden has initiated the transition and has so far been making cabinet appointments.
Uhuru other leaders to recognize Biden as the legitimately elected leader. The two spoke on phone where Uhuru reiterated his involvement in maintaining the Kenya-US relations and more particularly committed in joining forces with the American counterpart in addressing climate issues.
President-elect Biden conveyed his interest in building on the partnership across a range of issues including by tackling the threat of climate change, supporting refugees and their host communities and addressing the challenges of regional security and instability.
Joe Biden talked by phone today with the leaders of Argentina , Costa Rica and Kenya , as well as with the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
