Murmurs as Judge Linked to Sexual Scandal in Judiciary Cleared to Run for KMJA Top Seat

There are massive murmurs within the Judiciary after a judge accused of sexual misconduct was cleared to run for KMJA Presidency.
The clearance of Justice PQ comes after reports within the Judiciary linked him to sexual scandals involving junior officers within the Judiciary.
According to a senior judge within the Supreme Court, PQ’s clearance will lead to more attacks on judicial officers and further erode the already diminished image of the Judiciary.
“How the KMJA election board cleared this judge is alarming. I wonder how he will run the already struggling association,” said the judge.
He added, “We have seen many complaints against him at the Judiciary Service Commission. How will he lead this sensitive association?”
Justice Radido, who is the outgoing president, has refused to defend his seat after members vowed to vote him out.
Among the accusations he faced during his tenure include incompetency, colluding with other highly connected people to fight the Chief Justice, corruption, and completely bringing the organization to its knees.
According to some judicial officers, Radido is the most dormant, lazy, and weak president who failed to deliver on his promises.
“Radido promised us heaven. He promised to use his connections as a judge to persuade the CJ to fix issues regarding salary increments, car grants, and security for members. The previous administration tried to fix things, but he destroyed all the efforts they made,” said a female Mombasa magistrate.
