Man Charged With Giving False Information That A Former Magistrate Wanted To Run Him Over With A Prado

A man has been charged today at a Kibera Court for allegedly giving false information that a former magistrate, wanted to run over him with a Prado.
David Sosah was charged before Kibera Senior Resident Magistrate William Tulel where he denied the charges.
The court heard that the accused person committed the offence on June 12, 2023 at about 1650hours at Jamhuri police station in Kibra Sub-County within Nairobi County .
The accused person the court heard that he alledgly told police constable Hamisi Kahindi, a police officer that Peter Ngatia attempted to knock him down or over run him while driving motor vehicle registered make Toyota TX in Woodley estate the information he knew to be false.
He denied the charges and told the court through his lawyer that he was not at a flight risk among other reasons.
The complainant lawyer Linet Rono urged the court to grant the accused person on a tough bond terms and requested that he deposit his passport in court if he had any.
The magistrate released him on Sh 300,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh 150,000.
The case will be mentioned on March 28th for pre-trial.
