In a quick swing into action, the DCI has in their preliminary investigations, singled out the Rift Valley leaders aligned to the UDA party and allied with the Deputy President William Ruto as being behind the  attack on Raila Odinga’s entourage in Uasin Gishu on Friday at the funeral of the late Mzee Kibor.

Kinoti has named:

1. Hon Caleb Kositany, MP, Soi Constituency

2. Hon Oscar Sudi, MP, Kapseret Constituency

3. Hon David Kiplagat, speaker of Uasin Gishu County Assembly.

as being the organizers and the coordinators in the attack that saw the former PM chopper windshield smashed as he was aboard forcing his crew to fly him hastily to safety.

In an earlier report by the National Police Service, investigation reports from the arrested culprits showed that they were bribed with a common Sh50 denomination to cause chaos.

In his initial castigation, the former Prime Minister had singled out Mandago and Kositany as being behind the attack.

Junet Mohamed who’s also a close confidant of the ODM leader pointed fingers at Kositany whom in an interview with a local television he said was with them at Mzee Kibor’s home but their ground intelligence informed them that he was fully behind the coordination of the attack.

Being a UDA and Ruto’s stronghold, the DP has personally apologized to the PM and promised to take actions against those found personally responsible for the violence including locking them out of the UDA party ticket.

This is a breaking news and we shall update.
