CBK Advices Those Who Still Have Old 1000 Notes With Them
Imagine going about your home chores then discover a ward of cash that you didn’t know of. Your initial reaction would ordinarily be excitement. Now think about this, the notes you’ve discovered are the old outfaced 1000 ones, you’d be so annoyed since they’re useless.
But you gather some courage and hope that the gods listen to your prayers and reach out to CBK to try out your luck if maybe by any chance, they’d break the rules and allow you to convert them into the new currency.
Such is the story of one Eric Wakaria who found cash in his house and thought just maybe because of Covid19, leniency could come his way. But his hopes were immediately dashed by the response from CBK who in plain said, his notes and a piece of paper are just the same.

But it wasn’t just CBK that was savage in the reply to the man’s agony. KOT jumped in on it totally ravaging. “How can you go hiding money in every panya hole in your house mpaka unasahau shimo ilikuwa wapi ?” David Kirembu questioned. A Mwenda said, “Toboa mashimo uko kando, tengeneza face mask, uziuze na tag line yako ikue “thao shall not get corona”
“No poor person forgets where he kept his coins.
If you could keep such an amount and forget about it, it means you didn’t need it. You have more than enough. Simple. Use it to light some fire.” Replied another user.
If you have the old notes, there’s no possibility you’ll use them anywhere maybe decorate your wallet.
