In a bizarre turn of events that has left many shocked, a senior clergyman has been arrested in Homa Bay County for allegedly having sex with his biological daughter.

The clergyman who is a bishop in one of the churches at Ndiru area, Kagan Ward in Rangwe Sub-county has been accused of going against the cultural and religious ethics to commit the heinous act.

The bishop was arrested at Ndiru village, Kokoko Sub location where he was found in the act with the adult daughter who quit her marriage some time back.

Residents had previously got information that the clergyman had been having sex with the daughter who is a mother of three children.

It was reported that the daughter returned home to stay with her parents after her marriage went sour, making her unable to stay with her husband.

It was not clear on how the weird love relationship started between the two. But locals had lived in suspicion that they were in a sexual relationship.

On Wednesday, a resident of the area visited their home and busted on the bishop having sex with the daughter.

In what seemed that it was confirmation of rumours, the resident raised an alarm which attracted a mob of villagers who barred the bishop from disappearing.

The residents held a demonstration and reported the matter to Ndiru OCS before the man was arrested.

Rangwe Sub-county Police Commander Magdalene Chebet said residents complained that the bishop had been having sex with the daughter habitually.

“Residents have complained to us that the bishop had been having sex with daughter. The daughter separated with the husband and returned home to stay with them,” Chebet said.
