The Medical Board has disputed Claims by Nation that stated David Sankok was a medical doctor. According to one doctor, Lukoye W’Atwoli, Sankok is NOT a doctor and has NEVER been trained in medicine.

Lukoye in a tweet condemned the newspaper for publishing facts they knew were false and accused it of misleading the people. The paper had stated that Sankok was  “a University of Nairobi-trained medical doctor, who runs a clinic and a hotel in Narok.

This is not the first time Lukoye has come out to accuse Sankok of fraud. “One of the biggest problem in Kenya is quackery, fakery and impersonation. Here is a person without any medical qualification passing himself off as a surgeon. For his pains, he was nominated to parliament,” he had earlier been quoted saying.

The MP has previously also duped other mainstream journalists that he is a surgeon even without showing papers of his qualification. An article published by the Standard on May 1st also claimed he was a legit doctor. “Changing his path led him to become a top student at school, was admitted to the University of Nairobi to study medicine, become a surgeon and ventured into entrepreneurship and politics,”  the paper had reported.
