Jobless Man Dismissed By Murkomen Lands A New Job
Elphas has been employed as a driver at the Kenya National Highways Authority Project office in Nakuru.
Lady Luck seems to have smiled at Ephas Musisa, from Vihiga County who has landed a new job despite having been brushed off by Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen earlier in the week when he approached him for a job opportunity.
In an encounter caught on camera and which went viral causing outrage on the internet and people calling out the CS’s dismissive nature to the gentleman’s request, Mr. Musisa now has kind words for the CS after landing a job in the ministry.
Speaking to the media at the NTSA offices, the thrilled Musisa recalled his back struggles saying the last time he had a stable job was back in 2020 before he lost the opportunity during the Covid pandemic.
He was at the NTSA offices following up on some documents when the CS appeared and he jumped straight into the opportunity to ask for a job.
Musisa also said that, despite the earlier impression Murkomen had displayed, he was surprised to learn that the CS had followed up on his matter – leading to his employment.
“Akaniuliza niko na shida gani, nikasema niko na shida ya kazi. Akasema hapa hatupeani kazi,” he recalled.
“Ya kustaajabisha, kumbe Mheshimiwa ameenda lakini ameenda kuniongelea vile nitapata kazi. Alituma watu wake wakaniita.”
Musisa thanked the Kenya Kwanza regime for finally getting him a job.
“Nashukuru hii serikali ya President William Ruto, ashikilie kabisa. Nilianza kutafuta kazi kwa Rais Moi, nikakuja kwa Kibaki, nikakuja kwa Uhuru, sikuwa kupata kazi,” he said.
