How Former Nairobi Registry Clerk Liza Amara Anyos earned millions using Fake Certificates
Former Registry Clerk at the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has been charged with allegedly using a forged academic certificate to secure employment.
Liza Amara Anyoso is accused of presenting a fake Bachelor of Commerce degree certificate purportedly from the University of Nairobi, which enabled her to unlawfully earn over Ksh.7.8 million in salaries.
She was arraigned before Senior Principal Magistrate Ondieki at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court, where she pleaded not guilty to three counts: forgery, uttering a false document, and deceiving a principal.
The court released her on a cash bail of Ksh.80,000 or an alternative bond of Ksh.1 million with one surety.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) had forwarded the inquiry file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who approved the three charges against the accused.
The case will be mentioned on October 23, 2025.
