Stivo Simple Boy Battles Management Woes as Relationship with Manager Turns Sour
Stivo Simple Boy, the Kibera-based artiste, finds himself in another management dispute following his fallout with manager Vaga. The conflict arose when the wife of the Freshi Barida hitmaker, Grace Atieno, accused his management, Men In Business (MIB), of mistreating the singer.
Allegations of financial struggles and mismanagement surfaced on social media. His wife revealed that Stivo was facing a difficult time, which led to a halt in his music releases.
Consequently, MIB announced the termination of Stivo’s contract, allowing for a 35-day transition period to ensure a smooth process. The contract termination will officially take effect on July 31, providing both parties with an opportunity to present their interests.
Stivo Simple Boy blaming management for his financial woes
Stivo has now spoken out to share his side of the story. He revealed that the controversial messages on his Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts were crafted by his manager, painting a false narrative.
Stivo confessed that he had been coerced into recording a video claiming he was okay under duress, as the management had threatened him.
Stivo expressed his dissatisfaction with the current situation and his desire to regain control of his social media accounts.
Fortunately, his manager has agreed to hand over the accounts on July 11, bringing a glimmer of hope. Looking ahead, Stivo emphasized his intention to take charge of managing his own music, having experienced numerous difficulties under the hands of managers.
Eric Omondi Extends Support to Rapper Simple Boy and Calls for Collaboration
Rapper Stivo Simple Boy found support from comedian Eric Omondi after his story caught Eric’s attention online. Eric, known for advocating for the rights of musicians, content creators, and Kenyans in general, decided to step in.
Simple Boy took the opportunity to apologize to Eric for a diss track he had released to insult him.

In a gesture of goodwill, Eric now encourages Simple Boy to return to the studio and collaborate on a hit track with upcoming artist Ngesh. This collaboration would not only help Simple Boy regain his footing but also provide exposure and support to a promising talent like Ngesh.
