Eliud Kipchoge Jets Back In The Country From Vienna
After having a successful race in Vienna that put him the history books as the first human to have ever run a marathon under 2 hours after clicking his 1:59 target, the marathon legend is back in the country.
With 120K spectators that showed up in the streets to watch him race and millions worldwide watching including droves of Kenyans who followed the historic event from their televisions, it was expected he would be given a heroic welcome on his comeback.
It seems Kipchoge has different plans and opted to make a low key return. While he was flown from his Eldoret home to Vienna on a private jet and hyped on INEOS accounts and his, his return remained a secret until his landing.
Kenya Airways on their social media page announced his return to the disappointment of many who wanted to give him a heroic welcome from JKIA.
Honoured to fly our CHAMPION @eliudkipchoge home from Amsterdam. The Pride is so proud of you! #ChampionOnBoard #NoHumanIsLimited pic.twitter.com/Ln5xMlO7qB
