TIFA Survey: Trade CS Rebecca Miano Ranked Amongst Worst Performing In Ruto’s Cabinet
Rebecca Miano, the Cabinet Secretary(CS) for the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry has been ranked amongst the poor performers in President William Ruto’s administration, the latest survey by Tifa Research shows.
Others ranked alongside Ms. Rebecca as worst performing CSs in the survey include; Agriculture Minister Mithika Linturi, Water’s Zachary Njeru, Labour’s Florence Bore and Davis Chirchir of Energy Ministry.
The survey has also ranked Interior CS Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the top performing minister in the cabinet.
Other top ranked cabinet members include Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, Sports’ Ababu Namwamba, ICT’s Eliud Owalo and Aden Duale of the Defence.
Over 2,700 activities for all the cabinet secretaries were analysed.
The scope of activities analysed covers those published on online news platforms, social media pages of ministries and cabinet secretaries’ social media pages.
The data collected from 2,912 respondents across 9 zones including Central Rift, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift and the Western region, was conducted via telephone with respondents whose contacts were collected face to face.
A previous survey by a different firm Infotrak, also ranked Ms. Miano the worst performing at the time when she was serving as CS for EAC, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands Development before being swapped to Trade ministry, others who ranked worst and featuring in the latest TIFA survey include Florence Bore (Labour and Social Protection) & Salim Mvurya (Mining) who were rated rated as the worst performing CSs at 0.3pc, 0.2pc and 0.2pc respectively
