Guyo Raids City Hall With Goons Hunting For Speaker Elachi As Power Tussles Escalates
City Hall power wars is not new and only keeps getting scarier by the day. Elachi who’s largely seen as a leading proponent of the NMS had spent the night at City Hall ahead of today’s budget approval of Sh26.4B to the NMS.
The speaker had gotten wind of impending plot by the opposing side allied to Governor Sonko and the suspended Abdi Guyo. True to the word, goons led by Guyo stormed the offices only to be met with alert police who were already in possession of the intelligence to cause chaos.
The plan as Kenya Insights learn was to arrive early in the morning and consequently block away the speaker’s team and stall the voting. This was also another spirited effort to oust the speaker. We’ve learnt that some of the goons were found with crude weapons, others hard firearms including clerk Ngwele, they were arrested and currently being held at Central Police. Speaker is now claiming her life is in danger.
This is not the first time that Guyo has led goons and allied MCAs to storm the speaker out of office.
Approval of the budget is set for today at 2pm.
