EACC Raids Waiguru’s Homes And Offices
Kirinyaga Governor Waiguru’s problems aren’t far from being over. Just after she was impeached by her County assembly only to be saved by the Senate, the governor finds herself once again in the wrong side with law enforcement.
Thursday morning, sleuths from the EACC ran a double raids at her Nairobi home and offices in Kirinyaga. This follows accusations that she has been abusing her office. This is beside pike of graft claims that had previously been labeled against her by the MCAs.
According to the statement issued by EACC on Thursday morning, they’re conducting investigations into the allegations that the governor and other officers in the County were irregularly paid travel allowances of approximately Sh23 Million which we’re spent on non existent trips.
The raid was therefore to collect documents that would ascertain if indeed the trips were taken and if the filed documents are genuine.
