Tony Gachoka a staunch ally to President Uhuru, a man who had been punching DP Ruto both on TV and social media is not taking any strangers.

Known for calling a spade for what it is, the former aide to Raila Odinga is now claiming that Jubilee chairman David Murathe is behind the Kemsa COVID-19 scandal that has put into question about Sh43B amount that was set aside for the pandemic.

According to the recently aired exposé on NTV about the COVID-19, Kemsa is at the center of theft that largely was orchestrated in the procurement of the PPEs and medical for coronavirus. It’s alleged that procurement procedures weren’t adhered to and that supplies were acquired at exaggerated rates.

Donations from Jack Ma are also said to have been disappeared in a move that has caused panic and chaos amongst Kenya’s foreign donors. Global Fund has already withdrawn cash grants and instead say they’ll be biting drugs for their beneficiaries directly. USAID is also on record demanding for accountability from the ministry of health on Kemsa scams and considering withdrawing their grants.

President Uhuru has come out fiercely saying the people behind the looting of the funds will be dealt with. EACC had been directed to pick and follow up the case with DCI said to be on the trail as well.

Gachoka in a series of tweets, seem to be knowing more than we know.

Tanga Tanga alluded politicians have been throwing jabs at ODM for the stand on the matter.

Neither Kenneth nor Murathe is yet to respond to the allegations against them by Gachoka.

Two companies mentioned in the COVID-19 millionaires scandal Megascope and Crown Healthcare Ltd have already threatened to sue NTV for linking them to the scam.

ODM has also responded to the KEMSA scandal saying the issue has been over sensationalized by the media claiming the information are not only half baked but based on shadowy sources. The party also said in statement that the claimed inflated prices of medical supplies were justifiable given that after coronavirus the prices of the supplies short up given high demand worldwide. They also faulted the DCI for rushing investigations without getting credible approval from the office of the auditor general to ascertain if indeed there’s loss of money. Kemsa has since denied any loss of money allocated to them as they seek Sh5B bailout from the treasury.

Kenyans continue to assert pressure on EACC to speed up the investigations and looking forward to have players involved in the scam brought to book.
