Pastor Abandons Side Relationship Congregation Says It Feels Like a Reset
Members of a thriving Pentecostal church in Eldoret are still reeling after their head pastor abruptly ended a secret extramarital relationship that had quietly divided the congregation for months.
The decision came without warning during a Sunday service, where the pastor tearfully confessed to stepping away from what he described as a “distraction from his calling.”
Although no names were mentioned in the confession, congregants say everyone knew who and what he was referring to. The woman involved, a former usher turned choir director, had been rumored to be the pastor’s secret companion despite his marriage and public stance on morality. The tension had been building within the church for over a year, with hushed gossip and subtle side-taking among members.
The service began normally, with worship songs and testimonies. But as the pastor stood to preach, he paused, closed his Bible, and asked the church to allow him a moment of truth.
