EXCLUSIVE: DCI Closes In on Magistrate Koome Over Alleged Land Succession Fraud
New details have emerged alleging that Magistrate Koome accepted bribes to alter court documents and influence the outcome of a succession case, as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) prepares for his imminent arrest.
According to a source within the DCI familiar with the matter, Magistrate Koome may be arrested in the coming days and arraigned in court on charges of forgery and other related offenses.
The magistrate is accused of manipulating a multi-million-shilling succession case, allegedly profiting significantly from the scheme.
“Yes, it’s true. Investigations have been ongoing for some time and are now complete. Everything is set for his arrest,” said a Nairobi-based detective familiar with the case, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Further investigations reveal that detectives are also seeking complaints from Kenyans who may have grievances against the magistrate in question.
Sources indicate that the Chief Justice has been informed of the impending arrest, and Magistrate Koome has reportedly been absent from duty in an apparent attempt to evade authorities.
Cases of magistrates altering records, particularly in land-related disputes, have been on the rise in recent years.
Our investigative team is closely monitoring developments and will provide further updates as the story unfolds.
