Eastleigh Businessman Hussein Ibrahim Mohamed Charged With Sh45M Real Estate Fraud
A 58-year old man has been charged with conspiracy to defraud real estate of Sh45 million.
Hussein Ibrahim Mohamed appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Dalpina Alego and denied the charges.
Mohamed is accused of conspiring to defraud Messer’s Fenoon Star Real Estate and Contracting Limited of Sh45.5 million, an offence he is said to have committed on diverse dates between the 22nd day of April and 7th day of July, 2022 in Nairobi.
The charge sheet stated that obtained the money by falsely pretending that he was in a position to sell to them a property known as Land Title No. NAIROBI/ BLOCK 104/389 situated at Ushirika Estate in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.
The court was told that Mohammed was well aware that the property had been sold out by DIB Bank Kenya Limited on public auction through Keysian Auctioneers on 24th November, 2021 after defaulting on loan repayment.
He was released on a cash bail of SH5 million pending hearing and determination of his criminal case.
