A UK Firm To Sue Radio Africa Over Theft
Global Radio Services Limited, A United Kingdom based firm is suing Radio Africa over copyright infringement. In a letter dated the 1st of October, the company accuses Radio Africa Limited of Stealing their company logo and artwork.
The company which owns Smooth Radio claims Radio Africa Copied the Smooth cover artwork from and page posts from their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/smooth.radio) and used it on (www.facebook.com/SmoothFMKenya) without consultation.
“You have copied a substantial part of the Smooth Logo, the Smooth Cover Artwork and the Smooth posts.” The letter addressed to Radio Africa Limited reads.
The letter seen by Kenya Insights further gives Radio Africa group an ultimatum to delete the infringing Facebook page and to cease any use Of Globals copyrighted materials so as to avoid legal confrontation.
“If we do not hear from you before the given deadline, we reserve the right to bring proceedings against you without further notice.” The letter concludes.
