From Poverty to Fraud-Fueled Millions: The Life of JJ Titus Amid New Allegations

Published

on

A once-respected city businessman, now accused of masterminding elaborate fraud schemes, is living a lavish lifestyle built on deception.

JJ Titus (real name Mwiti Titus Jacob) stands at the center of damning allegations involving fake business tenders, con artistry, and the systematic defrauding of both local and foreign investors.

A Web of Fraudulent Companies

Investigations reveal that Titus operates through two primary companies—Lid Group Companies (where he serves as Executive Officer) and Kapari Works Limited (which he allegedly founded)—both accused of being breeding grounds for fraud.

Sources claim these entities are used to lure victims into non-existent deals, with losses running into millions.

For instance, Titus and his associates allegedly swindled a foreign investor of $90,000 (approx. KSh 13 million) in a fake tender scam. In another incident, an audio recording of him attempting to con a victim of KSh 60,000 has gone viral.

A History of Denials and New Evidence

Though Titus previously denied links to the “wash wash” money-printing syndicate, fresh evidence points to a pattern of corruption. A close confidant disclosed:
“JJ Titus works with a network of con artists who use shell companies like Kibwezi One Energy Limited to target foreign investors.”

His wife, Florah Thurah, is also implicated. She reportedly operates Kapari Works Limited, which investigators allege has received fraudulent funds—starting from $3,000 per transaction.

Silence Amid Accusations

Despite repeated attempts to contact him for comment, Titus refused to respond to queries or calls before publication. Meanwhile, victims—including the defrauded foreign investor—are demanding justice.
