Pastor Kanyari Now Hides Under New Name Bishop Maina And Asks For Sh250 From The Sh310
Known for the infamous “panda mbegu” scandal, Pastor Victor Kanyari is back. Now, going by the name Bishop Samwel Maina, he is the host of a radio show on Radio Jambo.
The show runs for 30 minutes between 4.45 am and 5.10 am.
The pastor who was pushed underground after an investigative piece in 2014 exposed deceit in his Salvation Healing Ministry and asking congregants to give a Sh310 offering, taken from the biblical verse in Malachi 3:10.
Downgrading from the Sh310, Bishop Maina now asks for a token of Sh 250 “seed offering” for powerful intercessory prayers.
The pastor also has a television station, Maajabu TV, which broadcasts sermons from his ministry, now based in Njiru, Nairobi. The pastor seems to be doing okay with the new church as he still drives a state of the art Range rover.
With business booming, congregants are offered sanctified handkerchiefs at a Sh1000 price, there is also water “given as a gift” which goes for Sh500. When business is bad these prices reduce.
“If you made a pledge to come with the 1,000 and failed to do it, know that you are mocking God.” Kanyari can be heard saying at one of the services.
