Rogue Groenewald Christoffel Petrus Still Playing Hide and Seek With Court Over Unpaid Hotel Bill, Gets Warned

Groenewald Christoffel Petrus, a South African National tricks seems to be heading to a wrong direction after a Nairobi court warned him once again.

” You have been lying to this court for sometimes now, this is your common language, this is the last chance,” a magistrate warned him.

This came after he was arraigned again early today at a Kibera Court to face the charges of meals and accomodation Fraud at the a hotel in Parklands.

He appeared before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu when the matter came up for hearing before he again gave his excuses.

” My advocate is sick, i pray this court to give me another chance so that i go and settle with the complainant, ” he said.

The court papers shows that he defrauded Sh950,000 at the said hotel after he failed to pay the said bill.

On the same incident, another complain has been filled at the DCI, Parklands police station against Rubi Williams and Oliver Kiptoo Kiplangat over Sh764,640 after failing to pay the accomodation of the same facility, the file is before the Dpp who is yet to give a way for their arraignment.

They are business partners to the accused person and are linked to multiple fraud.

They are said to have committed the offence on diverse dates between January 19, and March 23, 2024 contrary to the law.

Just like Petrus who is yet to pay the hotel, they too have never settled the said amount since December 21, 2022.

On Wednesday, the accused person appeared in court without his advocate and urged the court to grant him another chance.

The Magistrate made him remember that he has been giving such false promises for along time and gave him the last chance.

He directed that the matter proceeds on March 3 for hearing without any delay if he will not have paid the said amount.
