Kenyans Led By Babu Owino Accusing Judiciary Of Bias As They Call For Murder Suspect Jowie’s Release
Kenyans are accusing the Judiciary of treating the murder case involving Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu with bias. Led by Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino, Kenyans have pointed fingers at the judiciary for not practicing the innocent until proven guilty rule by not granting Jowie bail.
Taking to social media, Babu owino pointed out that other major murder suspects in the country have been given cash bails while Jowie has been denied. In his post on Facebook, the University of Nairobi alumni claims the Judiciary is being used and only benefits the rich. Read the full post;
“THE JUDICIARY IS BEING USED!!!
- When Governor Obado was alleged to have murdered he was given a cash bail/bond term.
- When Sarah Wairimu was alleged to have murdered Cohen She was released on Cash bail/bond.
- JOWI should be given cash bail/bond term by the judiciary and when found guilty be jailed.
- Marxism’s of law is that Equity is equality
- He who comes to Equity must come with clean hands.
- Is it coz JOWI is poor that’s why he is being by the Rich judiciary
- #ReleaseJowionBail
- Youth for a youth”
Netizens have also taken to Twitter to air their grievances against the bias Judiciary under the hashtag #ReleaseJowieOnBail.
#ReleaseJowieOnBail this goverment is playing games with the common mwananchi, we need a judiciary that serves all kenyans equally. Its really unfortunate that we have leader in the judiciary who only care for what is served in their pockets. Shindweeeee!

Justice James Wakiaga has now denied Jowie bail twice. The court claims his application for bail is immature and lacks merit. Jowie is charged alongside Jackie Maribe with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
