‘I Will Kill You With My Hands and Drag Your Body On Hot Tarmac,’ Media Executive Farida Idris Mohamed Battles Accusations Of Sending Chilling Death Threats to Ex-Boyfriend in Bitter Fallout

Farida Idris Mohamed, a calculating media executive with a venomous streak, finds herself at the center of a explosive legal storm as she scrambles to dodge accountability for a series of blood-curdling text messages allegedly sent to her ex-boyfriend, Hussein Aila Amaro, in June 2019.

The once-powerful commercial director at Capital FM now stands accused of unleashing a torrent of threats so vicious they paint a portrait of a woman consumed by rage and intent on revenge—threats like, “I will kill you with my hands and drag your body on hot tarmac until nobody can recognize that rotten body of yours.”

The chilling saga unfolded after Farida’s nine-year romance with Amaro, her co-founder at Enersence Solutions Limited, imploded in 2019, leaving behind a wreckage of bitterness and betrayal.

Prosecutors say Farida, unable to stomach the breakup, turned to her phone as a weapon, firing off messages that promised not just murder but grotesque desecration.

One text, sent on June 14, 2019, allegedly snarled, “Now tell me what the f… you will do to me and you see I will finish you and bloody Swarna combined.” Another, dripping with jealousy over Amaro’s rumored lover “Swarna,” vowed, “I will kill you and if I get that Swarna you have been f… while you were with me… the two of you can continue f… in HELL.”

Farida’s reign of terror didn’t stop there.

Court documents reveal a third message threatening to “bury” Amaro “before you proceed to hell,” a grim crescendo to a campaign of hate that landed her four counts of threatening to kill.

When arraigned before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina in April 2023, she coolly pleaded not guilty and sauntered out on a Sh100,000 cash bail.

But now, facing the weight of damning evidence and over five witnesses ready to testify, Farida has run to the High Court, spinning a tale of victimhood to escape justice.

Vendetta

In a brazen bid to dodge the charges, Farida claims the prosecution—led by Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Igonga—is a “vendetta” cooked up by Amaro, her scorned ex, over their soured business dealings.

She paints herself as the wronged party, alleging Amaro weaponized his connections to punish her after she refused to fork over Sh17 million in a dispute over their 50-50 stake in Enersence Solutions Limited.

“The criminal proceedings are in bad faith,” she whines in court filings, accusing the DPP of rubber-stamping a case meant to “vex and oppress” her. It’s a desperate gambit—one that conveniently sidesteps the venomous words she allegedly hurled at Amaro.

Prosecutors, however, aren’t buying her sob story. Armed with a charge sheet that timestamps her threats to the minute—like one sent at 13:59 on June 14, 2019—they argue Farida’s messages reveal a woman unhinged, not a victim.

The evidence suggests a calculated fury, not a framed innocent, and the state has lined up witnesses to prove it.

Farida’s attempt to cast this as a “civil dispute” gone awry crumbles against the raw malice of her own words, preserved in texts that scream intent.

As the High Court mulls her plea to derail the case, Farida’s façade of control is cracking.

Was she a media maven wronged by a bitter ex, or a scorned lover who let jealousy twist her into a would-be killer? The answer lies in those texts—and the justice system she’s now begging to save her from the consequences of her own rage.

For Hussein Aila Amaro, the man she allegedly vowed to drag across “hot tarmac,” the nightmare of Farida’s wrath is far from over.
