Gor Semelang’o Donates Sh25M To Covid-19 Affected Families For Rent And Food
Former Youth fund boss Gor Semelang’o has announced that he will be donating Sh25 million to families affected by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
“I have decided to Donate Kshs 25 Million to support vulnerable families in slum areas within Nairobi and parts of Nyanza Region,” a statement by the flashy businessman reads.
Gor says part of the money will be used to pay rents for families who pay Sh5,000 or less within Nairobi informal settlements “Mathare, Kibra, Ngomogo, Lang’ata, Embakasi, and Kasarani”
Gor has provided contact details for the people who qualify for rent in the Nairobi informal settlements and will send the money directly to either the Head of the family or to the Landlord/Agent upon agreement between the two parties with at least a neighbour confirming rent distress.
The rest of the money will be used to purchase a family survival kit which will consist of Maize flour, Wheat flour, Cooking oil, Rice, Salt, Soap, etc.
