Businessman Xiao Keziah Charged With Sh9.2M Fraud
City businessman Xiao Keziah has been charged with fraud at the Kibera Court.
Appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu, Xiao denied the charges.
The court heard that he allegedly defrauded Ann Wangare Kinyugo of Sh 9.2 million on various dates between June 1, 2023, and July 2024, in an undisclosed location in Nairobi County.
Xiao is accused of committing the offense alongside other suspects who remain at large, employing deceptive tactics that led to significant losses for Bangbet.
The prosecution opposed his release on bond, citing concerns that he might flee, a claim that his defense dismissed.
The magistrate ordered Xiao to be held in remand pending a bond ruling next week.
