How Chinese National Xiao Kexian, Ge Li, Hang Ming, Jacinta Moraa, Purity Njeri, Hongdon Chen, Xu Pengfei and Hanmeng Qui defrauded Bangbet Millions to start their own betting firm

Even as a chines national Xiao Kexian continue to spend days in prison ahead of his bond ruling, court papers and detectives reports shows that, him alongside Ge Li, Hang Ming, Jacinta Moraa, Purity Njeri, Hongdon Chen, Xu Pengfei and Hanmeng Qui were behind a well orchestrated multi-million theft that left bangbet on it knees.

According to our investigations, they had jointly been employed by bangbet before they developed a plan to loot it through a well elaborated syndicate.

The issue started after, the said individuals used some crooked means to start their own betting firm but used bangbet platform to advertise their brands, confisticating millions.

” Xian Kezian and his accomplice fraudulently and unlawfully infringed on Bangbet by publishing, promoting, and advertising printing and displaying their betting services under the bangbet trademark without a licence,” read the court papers in parts.

So far only Kexian has been charged in court with the offence of obtaining money by false pretenses. The police are still investigating the matter and more suspects will be arraigned soon.

Kexian had already been charged before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu but he is yet to be released on bond.

The court heard that Xiao Kexian defrauded thebBangbet owner Sh 9.2million contrary to the law.
She is said to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 1st June, 2024 and 31st July, 2024 at an unknown place in Nairobi county within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court, stole cash Sh9,225,312 (Nine million, two hundred and twenty-five thousand, three hundred and twelve Kenya shillings) the property of Anne Wangare Kinyungo.”

Court prosecutor Samson Ng’etich told the court that the accused person was a flight risk and urged the court to detain him further.

” The accused person is a flight risk and he has been evading the court sessions for some days, i urge the court to detain him further pending the probation report,” he told the court.

The court directed that the accused petson be detained until October 22 as the mention date for directions on bail applications amid his objection.
