Banda Homes Rebrands To Nyumbani Concepts After Failing To Deliver Projects

Banda Managing Director Paul Nderitu.

Banda Homes is once again in the spotlight for trying to hide their operations by hiding under a new name. Banda which has embarked on a rebranding strategy to evade scrutiny and questions whenever they came up is yet again on the same road.

Banda Homes was accused of failing to deliver homes to buyers despite having received deposits amounting to Sh1.5 billion since last year. The reports claimed the money raised was used partly to pay for the land where several other estates will be built on Kenyatta Road and in Kikuyu near Sigona and to finish up old projects.

The firm, the reports claimed, has re-branded at least two times since 2011, during which it has acquired new names to avoid being followed by clients after allegedly failing to deliver on projects.

“It started out as Dinara developers around 2011, then Lettas developers around 2013, then Banda homes in 2018. The directors mastered the art of rebranding each time after soiling their reputation of not delivering on their projects through mismanagement of funds.” The report mentioned.

Fraudulent Andrew Kamau Muhiu has been alleged to be the legitimate owner of Banda Homes however, Paul Nderitu who’s believed to be his conduit is registered as the MD.

With endless fraud accusations that we’ve previously highlighted, problems seem to follow the real estate firm that sells as the most affordable in the country.

According to a whistleblower site in Kenya, the firm has once again rebranded To Nyumbani Concepts in the wake of intense scrutiny on the company after the expose that went viral on social media.

It remains unclear why the firm the firm would take such a move. While they can easily brush it off as the two firms being different entities, it’s not rocket science to connect the two and the previous once given then linkages with same names like Paul Nderitu.

Big question is , what’s Banda and group hiding from their clients? This should concern both customers and potential given the many fraud cases in the real estates firms in Kenya. Many from Gakuyo, Urithi, Suraya have gone down and left many in agony.
